Really? That's epic, mate. He sounds a really good bloke to protect you like that. I'll have to talk to him sometime, sort of guitar talk and stuff.

The heat bothers me when I am down south sometimes.

We were kids when we joined the band. We were protecting each other.

You should talk to him. He's a sweetheart and can play anything you put in his hands. It's crazy how fast he picks up instruments. We were thinking of going out to drink. You should come.

I suppose it must bother you if you're used to colder climbs. It's good that you were protecting each other though. Me and the lads do that too for each other and Ziggy too.

I'd love to talk guitar and other instruments with him too. Oh? Yeah, I might like that. When you're out next let me know.

The band is family. For Rik and Vars we're all they have. Their families aren't around.

I'll make sure we bring you along, even if it's just camping out in Rik's room for drinks.

Yeah, I can understand about the band is family part. We were like a family when we first joined up and came to understand Ziggy and who he was. We still are family.

I'd love that. It's been a while since I've stayed at another bloke's place. Want me to bring some booze with me? What do you lads like drinking?

I have plenty. We usually drink Akvavit. I'm not sure you have that in England.

Yeah, it does. It's about performing together but having a good friendship makes all the difference to the overall dynamic. At least that's the way I see it.

Akvavit? Not sure, mate. I've not tried it before but I want to now that you're telling me about it. Does it fuck you up after too many glasses?

The Danes call it Mule sometimes. Why don't you come over and try it? I'm sitting around with Rik. We can get him drunk too.

[Aarne knew why the Danes called it Mule, because they drank too much too fast and it would kick you in the ass.]

It does. Even the acoustics sound better over all when everyone is watching for each other's cues on time. I love how it all works on stage.

A Mule? Nice name. I bet it kicks like a fucking donkey when you don't know it. Usually, I drink gin or scotch straight so this Akvavit sounds a right laugh. I'd love to drink with you blokes. A cultural exchange of sorts?

Mick walked down the hotel lobby carrying a bottle of Gordon's Gin in his hand as he was dressed in white silk pants and his jacket made for him by Ziggy. He loved his jacket with the little silver stars on it. Knocking on Aarne's door, the guitarist wondered what he would find inside since the Dane was also with him, wasn't he?

"Hey, mate? It's me, Ronno."

Using the nickname a lot of the band used for Mick.

Aarne and Rik had started drinking though there was an extra glass on the bedside stand waiting for the Brit. Aarne is in a pair of boy shorts, which are technically panties but he doesn't care. Rik is sitting in bed with him in a bathrobe, laughing loudly as they look through some high end fashion magazines. A past time of Aarne's to laugh at the really ridiculous things. They are sitting close with Aarne's arm around the Dane. It's friendly and they had been, earlier talking about the new boys in their lives.

"Come in." Aarne calls out barely between laughs. There's a warm dog bark too. Mouka is on the bed with them wagging his tail wildly at the prospect of someone new coming in.

Mick heard the voice then the bark. A dog? What else did the Fin have inside his room? Pushing the door open, he then noticed the lively dog and offered it a beaming smile since it was a cute animal. His eyes then went to the Fin who was barely dressed. Of course. Then, Rik, who was dressed in a bathrobe. Did the Scandinavians always dress like this when meeting guests? Mick wasn't so much a guest than a friend now that the bands were together touring.

"Nice dog you've got there. He's a friendly lad, isn't he?"

Offering Mouka a few scratches along his head and back, Mick then placed down the bottle of gin onto the table close by.

"I brought some London gin for you lads to try if you'd like."

The Scandinavians were more relaxed around friends and the bands instantly became friends once they started touring. It also came with having less taboos about bodies and sex, particularly in private.

"Her name is Mouka." Aarne tells Mick and the dog is eating up the attention. She's a smaller dog and as soon as Mick is done she bounds over and jumps on Rik. The Dane laughing and trying not to spill his drink.

"Later." Aarne waves it off and leans over to pour Mick a drink. The Danish Akvavit strongly flavored with citrus and caraway but also with the burn of most stronger booze. "Make yourself comfortable."

There is a chair in the room but Aarne folds up into a cross legged position as a more or less offer to join them on the bed. He's offering the glass to the Brit waiting to see what he thought of the drink they went to for celebrating.

"Mouka? Nice name. She's a beautiful animal, aren't you, love?"

Mick was more a cat person but he could get along with dogs too and this one was very cute and fluffy. She also seemed to love jumping in laps which caught the poor Dane off guard a little. Laughing softly, Mick went to join the lads on the bed to be sociable as he took the glass containing the Akvavit. Sniffing it before sipping some, he could smell the citrus and caraway. It also smelt like a strong spirit so knew it would probably get them all trashed.

"Thanks, mate. Well---here goes."

Gulping it down in one, Mick felt the burn coat his throat and loved how the strong flavours invaded his nostrils causing him to giggle slightly. Fuck, it was good! He liked it.

"This is some good stuff. Do you like it too, Rik?"

"It means wheat in Czech." Rik tells Mick while Mouka runs back over to the Brit for attention, throwing herself onto her side on the bed without stopping. The dog is high energy, goofy and social by nature. They were bred to work with people as a herding animal and lookout. They loved families and like the bands themselves, Mouka saw them all as her pack.

Rik laughs when Mick downs the whole glass. He was going to get trashed that way. "I drink it in a cocktail."

Aarne was drinking it straight though and filled Mick's glass back up after downing his own glass. He'd get trashed with Mick even if the Dane was a little more responsible.

"I have a cat back home at my parents' house called Gibson. He's a big, fluffy ginger tom who likes to curl up on people's laps."

Mick was hoping that one day when Ziggy met his parents that Gibson would climb into the Anthean's lap and curl up. It was a cute image. Smiling broadly, the Brit watched as Rik was being much more careful drinking in a cocktail. Smart lad. Yet, Mick loved to drink his booze straight and wasn't about to break the habit now. Aarne was drinking his straight too.

"So, do you blokes often invite people in your room for drinks? It's nice to share cultures like this."

Another large gulp and Mick swallowed quickly, feeling the burn warm his throat. It was good, strong liquor and the Scandis knew how to make decent booze.

"I have reindeer with my family." Aarne mentioned while he starts drinking down the next glass. The Fin is already partially drunk and from how giggly the Dane is, that isn't his first drink.

"We always drink together." Aarne shrugged because it was the norm. "Don't you get together and drink?"

"Vars is usually the one who starts this but his mind is occupied."

Rik just giggled at what Aarne was saying though he sat up a little more. "Do Brits eat sweets with their booze?"

"A reindeer? I bet you're not joking either are you, mate?"

Most back home would laugh but Mick knew that the Fin was telling the truth because reindeer were common up there in the freezing north. This guy was the real deal and so was his booze. Already, the heady flavours beginning to mull around in the guitarist's nostrils and mouth.

"Of course we do. The Spiders and Ziggy---we often drink together at bars or just socially in the hotel room."

Gilly often being a tarty trashmouth and Weird just giving him the deadpan stare. Ziggy laughing at what the lads do because now they were all good friends, even tarty Gilly. This Vars bloke though? He seemed tough and Mick knew not to mess with him. Wasn't he dating blockhead?

"Sweets? Do you mean chocolate or fruity sweets sort of thing? Not usually. We eat potato crisps or something salty usually."

"I have a picture of her." He digs around in a leather bag beside the bed and pulls out a picture. "I trained her to pull a sled before I left."

Aarne is a never ending drinker and will keep the glasses full. Something so well known that Rik is keeping his hand on top of his glass so that his cocktail doesn't keep getting stronger and stronger.

Rik pointed at the door across the room. "Aarne always has a kitchen when he can. He was drunk baking last night."

Leaning over to see the picture he was being shown, Mick immediately beamed at the photo of the reindeer. She was cute just like Mouka but much bigger and had antlers. A real life reindeer and not just one on a Christmas card which the Brit was used to seeing.

"She's a fine animal, mate. You really are lucky to be surrounded by cute fluffy friends."

Mick noticed Rik keeping a hand over his cocktail. Wise man. Or maybe he didn't want to get trashed which was fine because it should be a choice and not a necessity. Glancing over towards the door where the Dane was mentioning the drunk baking, Mick just stared a little.

"Drunk baking? How did you not burn yourself or set the oven on fire? It's what I'd bloody do if I was drunk trying to cook stuff."

"We moved south to Rovaniemi, when I was 11." And that meant no more animals for a long time. "I'm going to take my parents back to where I grew up when we're done with the tour."

It would be a nice gift to go back and see family. His parents didn't travel back home very often and Aarne hadn't been there in 6 or 7 years.

The Dane starts laughing and elbows the Fin. "Aarne has a lot of being drunk."

Aarne shoved his bandmate back. "I'm trying to become a chef in our downtime."

"You drink a lot then, eh? I don't blame you. Sometimes, I like a gin or scotch in the evening to wind down after a tough day on stage. Most times I drink with my band mates and smoke. Would you like one?"

He pulled out his smokes and offered Aarne and Rik one if they so wished to take one. Mick just being friendly during this cultural exchange of sorts. The Akvavit beginning to make him a little looser with his tongue and he began to relax a little more. Shifting to sit on the bed more, Mick smiled to his new friends.

"So, what shall we do tonight? How about telling each other about funny stories that's happened to us?"

That sounded a good idea as he lit his cigarette up and took a deep drag whilst offering up his empty glass for Aarne to fill up.

"When am I not drinking?" Aarne says with a laugh while looking between the other two. Rik just shook his head and leaned into Aarne's shoulder. It's easy to tell the two are very close, probably closer to wach other than either of them are to the other members of the Hammers.

Aarne looked down at the smokes and sighed. "No. We don't smoke around Rik."

He didn't say why but Aarne gave the blonde a protective one armed hug while he poured more Akvavit for the Brit. Rik looked up at Mick's suggestion and blushed red because he knew what would come from Aarne.

The Fin smiled and motioned toward the Brit with his glass. "You first."

Aarne and Rik leaned back against the head of the bed, cuddling but Aarne was looking at the Brit. "You can come up here too. "I don't bite."

"There's a lie." Rik retorts to the Fin saying he didn't bite. He bite people all the time.

That got the Brit smirking but then his smile fall when he noticed the slight concern on the Fin's face regarding people smoking around the Dane. Maybe he had health issues? Whatever the case, Mick apologised and snubbed his smoke out because it would be rude to smoke around Rik.

"Sorry, mate. I didn't know. Well, there's plenty of drink to go around and stories too I bet."

Trying to lighten the mood once more, Mick wondered what story he could tell the lads. Oh, he had a good one. The booth and Gilly. That one. Bloody hell---that day was eventful for sure. Moving to sit next to Aarne, the guitarist nodded and laughed slightly at Rik saying Aarne bit people.

"There's a good one involving me, Ziggy, Gilly and Weird. We all went out shopping and Zig and me---we went into a booth to try some clothes on. The other lads were still looking at suits and pants----then me and Zig we kissed and well, started to fuck in the booth."

Mick took a gulp of drink before continuing.

"Then, Gilly had to burst in on us, didn't he? This was before either of the lads knew me and Zig were together, since we had to hide it for a while. Gilly screamed like a fucking girl, yelled COCK! At the top of his lungs, grabbed Weird and ran back to the hotel. Bloody hell---me and Zig were just staring at one another before we got dressed and went to chase Gilly down to explain everything."
