He's not put out by it and the oversight is now fixed to satisfy the spirits and his own sense of right. In the future he can prepare for the possibility of Howlback and her family showing up if there's another celebration.
"It's a drum hammer that's meant for playing hide drums. You can use it." Aarne offers because it isn't really used for display. "I wear them when I go on stage. I sometime use them to play on stage but usually I wear them tucked in my belt with the tassels hanging down."
He points out the carvings on it. "The symbols are for wind and thunderstorms."
