"I stopped visiting the North so often when Christianity took hold, and perhaps that was a mistake on my part. I didn't want to cause excessive trouble for anyone who remembered me."
He shakes his head. "I'm Loki. In my world of origin, Loki Odinson, of Asgard and of Jotunheim. I'm aware that may not be an entirely welcome name to you, or fit with the stories you may have heard of me, but I promise you that I am here in friendship."
